Privacy Policy

Your photo is uploaded only so our AI model can analyze it, and it is deleted immediately after analysis: never stored, never used to train our model, and never sold. This page explains, in plain English, exactly what happens to your photo and what other data we collect.

Your photo

  • Analyzed on our servers, then deleted. When you upload or take a photo to detect your face shape, it is sent securely to our servers, analyzed by our model, and deleted immediately afterward. See our methodology page for how the detection works.
  • Not stored. We do not keep a copy of your photo. Once your result is generated, the photo is gone. The service is stateless.
  • Not used for training. Your photo is not used to train, fine-tune, or improve our detection model, and is not shared with any third party.
  • Sent over a secure connection. Your photo is transmitted to our servers over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
  • Sharing your result is optional. If you choose to generate a shareable result link, only your face-shape result (not your photo) is included.

What data we do collect

We deliberately collect as little as possible to run the site:

  • No third-party analytics or ad tracking. We currently do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking on this site. If we ever add privacy-friendly analytics, we'll update this policy first.
  • Standard server logs. Our hosting provider and content-delivery network may log basic technical data (IP address, browser type, timestamp) for security and performance purposes, in line with standard web-hosting practice. These logs are not tied to your photo or any face-shape result.
  • No result database. The detector is stateless, so we don't keep a record of your result. If we ever introduce anonymized, aggregate statistics (for example, "X% of results were oval," containing no photos and nothing that identifies you) for research such as face-shape distribution studies, we'll update this policy before doing so.

Cookies

We use only the minimal cookies needed for the site to function and to protect form submissions (a security/CSRF cookie set when you use the detector). We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We do not share your photo with anyone. It is deleted right after analysis and never retained. We may share limited, non-identifying technical data with service providers that help us run the site (hosting and content delivery), each bound by their own data-processing terms.

Your choices

  • You can use the detector without creating an account or providing any personal information beyond the photo you choose to analyze.
  • You can decline to generate or share a result link.
  • You can contact us at any time with privacy questions or requests via our contact page.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us via the contact page and we will address it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the "last updated" date above whenever this policy changes, and we'll aim to make any material change clear on this page rather than burying it. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the current version of this policy.

Frequently asked questions

Does Face Shapes Detector store my photo?

No. Your photo is uploaded only to run the analysis and is deleted immediately afterward. We never store it. See our methodology page for the technical details.

Is it safe to upload a photo to the detector?

Yes. Your photo is sent over an encrypted connection, analyzed, and deleted right after: it is not stored, not used to train our model, and not shared. There is no retained copy that could later be leaked or misused.

Does the site sell my data?

No. We do not sell personal data, and we currently use no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. The detector is stateless, so there's no stored result data tied to you.

How do I ask a question about my data?

Contact us via our contact page with any privacy question or request, and we'll respond directly.
